Sliver

A SOAP and BPEL execution engine for mobile devices

System Requirements

Two versions of Sliver are included in the distribution below. The J2ME version supports devices which have runtimes for Java 2 Micro Edition MIDP version 2.0 or greater. The J2SE version supports Java 2 Standard Edition version 1.3 or greater, as well as Java 2 Micro Edition Foundation Profile 1.0 and Java 2 Micro Edition Personal Profile 1.0. All required third-party libraries are included in the Sliver distribution.

Building Sliver requires Apache Ant and a Java SDK compatible with Java 2 Standard Edition 1.4 or greater. To build the J2ME version, you will also need a copy of the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit and Antenna. Because the distribution includes a pre-compiled version of Sliver, rebuilding Sliver is generally not necessary.

Sliver is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. You can download snapshot distributions of Sliver below:

• 10/11/06 snapshot (major enhancements, mainly for better BPEL compliance; see included CHANGES.TXT for more information)
• 09/08/06 snapshot (bug fixes to BPEL parser, SOAP parser, and HTTP transport)
• 06/29/06 snapshot (initial release)

Note that Sliver is not yet feature-complete, and should be considered pre-release software.
